Season-Long Cash Fantasy Football Leagues

Daily/weekly fantasy football leagues get the most media today, but are still FAR in the minority of the coveted games that fantasy football participants like to play. Long before that, most people who play fantasy football will register their season-long private fantasy football leagues and join their season-long public fantasy football leagues.

For those who want to take advantage of the unique opportunities of fantasy football, but do not have enough people for a private Commissioner’s League or prefer to play for higher stakes, there are numerous public fantasy football leagues that use these options. The 2015 public fantasy football leagues are listed below and come in a range of ticket prices/payouts.

  • Traditional leagues (available in Live Draft and Autodraft) – 10-team league with the most accepted positions and scoring system: 1 KB, 2 RB, 3 VR/TE, 1 TE, 1 D, 1 K.
  • PPR league – The 10-team live Draft league head-to-head resembles the Traditional League, but an additional starting RB/VR swing position has been added and the scoring system awards a point per reception, and RB/VR TDs drop to 4 points each with bonuses awarded ( additional 1 or 2 points) for longer TDs.
  • TD Only League – The 10-team head-to-head live draft is a big departure from traditional fantasy leagues and harkens back to the days of scoring on paper when the commissioner made life easy for himself and only had to score touchdowns. Only TD scoring is what you’ll find here, so you won’t have to worry about making any idiots. TD scores vary based on touchdown distance.
  • League Average League – The 10-team live draft league resembles a traditional league, but an additional starting RB/VR position has been added for swing and the scoring system is standard except for the shooting and defensive stat ranges. The twist in this league is that you will get 2 decisions per week; one against your H2H opponent and one against league average (average score of starting lineups for that week). This type of league rewards teams with a better score more than standard H2H.
  • Bie Week Rollover League – The 10-team live draft league resembles a traditional league, but an additional starting RB/VR position has been added for swing and the scoring system is standard except for the shooting and defensive stat ranges. The twist in this league is that you will be able to select players the week before they are on Bie and determine if you want their points for that week to also carry over into their bye week, locking in two weeks (good or bad).
  • League of game changers – The 10-team live draft league resembles a traditional league, but an additional starting RB/VR position has been added for swing and the scoring system is standard except for the shooting and defensive stat ranges. The twist in this league is that you will be able to substitute a player at half time. This helps if you have a player who is injured or inactive. Of course, the first half is already locked and you will only be able to swap the second half with the other player’s half that is currently open (either the first half or the second half).
  • Total Point League – The 10-team live draft league resembles a traditional league, but an additional starting RB/VR position has been added for swing and the scoring system matches the standard except for the shooting and defensive stat ranges. The twist in this league is that the standings are based on the total number of points your starting lineup has accumulated during the season. This league really rewards the team with the best record. This league lasts a full 17 weeks and has no playoffs.
